When you print a file or document, the computer ‘s printer manager “spools” the file so that it waits before the printer is actually ready to process it.  Adding memory to your computer will definitely improve performance because it will have sufficient memory to handle the spooling and still have enough left for other processes.  If your printer’s memory is upgradeable, it is also recommended to add more as this would considerably make printing faster, thereby freeing more memory space in the computer.
