Think about this, memory equates to performance. Since most
gaming software contain graphics and animations that require high
resolutions, adding memory will definitely boost the performance of your
computer when you run them. A 256MB
memory is considered to be the minimum requirement for a high end gaming
machine. For serious gamers, a 1GB memory is recommended for highest quality
resolutions.
Adding memory may be very sensible, however, you
also need to consider the operating system as a limiting factor. Windows 9x
doesn’t do much for memory handling so even if you install sufficient memory
it may not do you good at all. To optimize your memory management, Windows 2000
or Windows XP would be best.
