This solution is for IBM ThinkPad 760XD, 760XL, 765D and
765L
These systems come with 16MB standard memory: 8MB is
soldered on the mother board and 8MB is soldered on the memory adapter card. The
dimm adapter has 2 sockets. The first socket on the left side can accept up to
32MB and the second socket on the right can accept up to 64MB module. When 64MB
module is used then it will disable 8MB on the memory adapter card. When
64MB module is used then please slide switch located on the memory adapter to
left side.
